"Yamashita-san? Kikoe masu ka? I'm your doctor. Shiraishi Hiroshi."
Yamapi opened his eyes to find the doctor stand by him.
"Nani? I'm not dead yet. I thought I was surely gonna die."
The doctor had a stern look on his face. "You would be if your friend hadn't brought you here in time! What are you thinking? You did know you had a heart ailment right?!"
"Hai, shitemasu."
"Then why Yamashita-san? You knew you'd fall sick if you tire yourself out that much. Didn't I tell you that you can't work that much? And to add to it, you can't really stress your heart too! Do you wanna die early?!"
Yamapi looked to his side as the truth struck him. Maybe leaving JE would be the best for him but after making it with his friends. After everything he didn't want to give up.
"Gomen Sensei, I'm gonna continue in my work."
*points to sleeping Ryo* "Then maybe you should tell him about this. He has a right to know right?! He is your FRIEND after all!"
Ryo wakes up to the shouting of Yamapi and the doctor. He opened his eyes only to find that they are indeed arguing.
"Nani shiteru no?"
The doctor took a bow and left silently without a word.
"Yamapi? Daijobu?"
Yamapi rolled on his side and closed his eyes.
Gomen na, Ryo. I can't tell you yet. If I do you might stop me from working with everyone. Maybe I should but I still want to fulfill our dreams together. It was a promise after all.
=flashback=
"Guys, it's our first live performance! Let's give it our all!" shouts Yamapi.
"HAI!!!"
Everyone started to leave when Ryo pulled Yamapi hands back.
"Nervous Ryo?" laughs Yamapi.
"Just a bit. I don't want to fail and be a laughing stock."
Yamapi rubs soothing circles on Ryo's back. "Daijobu na Ryo, You can do it. Besides, if this one succeeds we'll go to Tokyo Dome together."
Ryo stares at Yamapi with bright eyes, "Yakusoku?"
"Un. Yakusoku."
=end of flashback=
"Yakusoku. . ." whispers Yamapi before falling into a deep slumber.
A few weeks later, Yamapi was released and started to make up for his lost time. He continued shooting for his new movie. Ryo almost never left his side though. It was really starting to get on Yamapi's nerve how close Ryo was but he knew Ryo only wanted to protect him.
Yamapi went beside the camera as he watched the confession part of their movie.
"Watch out!"
Yamapi turned around but it was too late, the lights were falling. Instinctively, he covered his head and braced himself for the worse.
BUGSHHHHH. .
Yamapi felt nothing but warmth, he looked up and saw Ryo lying on top of him. Shielding him with his own body.
"Daijobu Yamapi?" asks Ryo, eyes full of concern.
"Un. Daijobu."
You always seem to save me Ryo-chan, arigatou. I don't know what I'd do without you. . .
I'm glad you're not hurt. . .I can't bear to see you in pain Yamapi. . .I wish I can tell you my feelings. .
