Sorry to hear about your forgotten laptop cord. What a bummer! In my old age I have started to make pre-packing lists for each bag I'm taking. That way I have a list with power cords, spare glasses, camera cords and the like on it for each bag. Can't tell you how many times checking over that list has saved my tush while packing!

Chicago is gangs of fun. I'm sure you'll love it. A friend saw Million Dollar Quartet twice, so I'm pretty sure that will be a winner for you, as well. Have a wonderful time in the Big Apple!

Yes, I think the checklist just might be a good thing. The cord is normally inside the bag I took, but I'd taken it out at home the week prior and forgotten to get it. Oh, well, thankfully there was the internet cafe (of a sort) on top of the deli just across the street from the hotel.
