This is POWERFUL! I got chills all over while I sang along with the ladies.

Lesley Gore is about one year older than I am, and when that song hit the top of the charts it was like a shot fired across the bow to those people who didn't want any uppity women telling them what they were going to make their own damned decisions. You Don't Own Me gave us our first marching orders. And I ain't looked back since.
