So glad to hear about your year, good stuff and scary stuff alike. I remember surprise!surgery, and am so glad it all turned out as it did. (And must note that for some, open heart surgery and a lengthy recovery would make for a BAD year--your sunny nature is a blessing here.) It must be great to have your son home, and I so approve of the new Boxing Day tradition--that was gracefully played. May 2013 be even better. ((((hugs)))
Surprise!surgery was definitely surprising, but I'm so thankful for the many things that went right, and that it was even detected in the first place.
2013 is going to have a highlight early in the year (second week of Feb), when I get to visit with Pokey again - maybe it will work into your schedule to meet up while I'm there?
The trees are my neighbor's, who lives across the street. They looked so pretty right after the snow, I couldn't resist, although I did try my best to not point the flash inside his window. :D
You probably win the prize for social butterfly, but you were not delicate at all when you showed that blood clot who's boss! I'm so glad to hear your son and daughter-in-law are living so close to you now. Hooray for Boxing Day traditions!
Have a very happy and healthy 2013, chris! *massive but gentle hugs*
