I appreciate the guy's analysis. If it does turn out to be linked to Jesus etc , do we really need a nod to the roots of Christianity in an "Alien" movie? It's an allegory that has been used so many times and for a advanced Engineer station to be wiped out just by the sins of human is perposterous. No originality.
Even if that allegory manifests full circle, I still wouldn't have hated the movie. It is the dumb scenes of scientists making stupid mistakes and characters seemingly having no purpose in the movie except just to relive a certain scene or feeling from the original Alien. That is what makes me mad.
To top it off, Noomi's character should have started kicking ass if not physically at least in some kind of leadership role but we didn't see the girl with the dragon tattoo emerge. We just saw another scientist barely make it out alive without an attitude.

Also keep in mind that the script was written by a Lost scribe, not Ridley himself.
