If you're celibate, you won't be having inappropriate sexual relations (which would be premarital or homosexual or adultry &etc.) Priests, and the Pope for that matter, don't pretend to be perfect--that's something only G-d can accomplish. IF they decide homosexuality is a sin: everyone sins, and members of the clergy are no exception. The reason that homosexuality is distinguished as something "inappropriate" in the Bible is historical NOT moral. The Hebrew people were attempting to create the next great civilization, and wanted to distance themselves as far as possible from the Greek and Roman civilizations. Some of the things that were prominent in those cultures that they desired to get rid of were idols, pologamy, polytheism, and same-sex relations prior to marriage. Men trained other men to be sexually capable in a relationship. The reason that this was deemed inappropriate by the Hebrews was because this was sex BEFORE marriage, not sex between two males. I'd love to see the three things on your list come true, too.
Keep dreaming. The catholic church hasn't been known throughout history as the most accepting religion when it comes to people who disagree with them. In fact, half their members left to form all the protestant groups and they STILL kept their rules the same, for the most part. They've made some recent changes (including accepting more scientific ideas), but those three might be too drastic to make any time soon.
btw: almost every protestant sect allows marriage with priests (not just episcopals) and there's also a couple who allow women priests. Can't say anything about the openly gay thing though, haven't done much in the way of keeping up with the rules of all the denominations.
