I saw this article in the NY Times online about a play based on the apocryphal Gnostic gospels, in which Jesus is married to Mary Magdalene. Apparently the play isn't very good, but I think it says a lot about our times that ppl are trying to push a false gospel than the truth. It's really quite sad I think. I picked up the gospel of Thomas one day while at the library because I was totally curious to see how it differed from the Bible. It was so contradictory - it's no wonder it was not included in the Bible. It seemed all new agey and works based.

I guess new age isn't as new as we think. Someone on the apologetics comm mentioned that it's another way to humanize Jesus and make Him more relateable (I think that's what the prsn said at least). I think it's just another way of rebelling, y'know? Anything to make God less God, and thus we become better by comparison.
