Sources report that TNA officials, at last word, still don't know which way Christian Cage is going. The feeling is that the angle they have shot with him getting beat down covers them either way. If he doesn't sign a new deal, the angle wrote him off. If he does resign, the angle will allow him to come back and be on the babyface team as one of ( Read more... )

The feeling is that he will get a big push coming in but if the initial reaction isn't too good, he will be put on the midcard.

THIS is why i'm pulling for him to stay with tna. he's not champion now, sure (and neither is taker, and he's championship material too), but the thing is, tna consider him to be a big star, so it won't stay like that forever. it might take another year for him to get the belt back, but really, i'd rather wait a year then see him get passed over because vince doesn't know how to push two members of a former tag team.

According to the recent TNA reports though, they feel he's "easily replaceable".

everyone on both rosters, tna and wwe alike, with the exception of a very small number, are 'easily replaceable'. my best guess is that they're covering their bases if he decides to go with wwe. it's better to say that they could afford to let him go, than admit they were a (possible) second choice.

Which is good of them to do (unless it backfires and everyone tunes into WWE if he leaves. LOL.) I guess just what bothers me is they really don't act like he's a big star anymore. And he really doesn't fit on either side of the MEM/Originals feud. Unless he magically becomes besties with AJ again.

Either way, TNA is much better than RAW will be because RAW is instant mid-card... ECW is mid-card anyway.

I guess it really comes down to what's best for him financially. Which probably is not "retire". Small blessing. I just hope if he stays with TNA they start getting their asses in gear in terms of creative.

and I hope I don't sound like I'm stepping on your opinions or anything. Just blah. So bored of not knowing.

I want him back on SD, I think anyone can just get buried too easily on RAW lately.

Agreed. I'd much rather he stay with TNA than be on RAW...
