Santa's Helper
Glancing at Lex from under his lashes, Clark watches him survey the ballroom, looking at the mess left behind by the one hundred or so of Smallville's disadvantaged children Lex had invited to the mansion for a Christmas party. It was just like his lover to do something so thoughtful, and yet grandiose.
Clark had agreed to play Santa and hand out the presents to each child. Now, though, everyone was gone, and the cleaning crew wouldn't be coming in until tomorrow. Using his super breath, Clark cleared the debris from the center of the room, and then sped over to the stereo setup.
Scanning the holiday selection Lex had downloaded, Clark clicked on The Christmas Waltz by The Carpenters.
The merry strains of the song filling the room, Clark, still in his Santa outfit, sped to Lex, and held out his hand. "May I have this dance?"
Startled, Lex looked at him for a second, and then smiled. "I'd love to."
