When Lutherans Go Wild.

I cannot imagine why ELCA hasn't excommunicated the lot of them. If Asherah-worship isn't excommunicationworthy, what is?

(Upon a quick glance, I don't see the Asherah-worship mentioned on the front page, but at least at one point, it was in there.)

I googled "ELCA herchurch" and didn't find any official-looking things from the ELCA. Maybe they haven't come to the ELCA's attention yet, or the ELCA hasn't a spine?

I don't get why they even call themselves Lutherans...I didn't see any sort of statement of faith anywhere on their site. I barely saw anything about Jesus, in fact. But from what I can gather they follow no tenets of Lutheranism or any kind of Christianity. Does "Lutheran" just sound good or something?

I guess they started out Lutheran, and just went from there.

I asked Paul about it once; he said they were in California.

They're ELCA. I checked. Somehow. But not all ELCA member churches see eye to eye with the ELCA.

And the ELCA doesn't really believe in excommunication.... I don't think there is a procedure to kick a church out.... and it's not exactly easy for a congregation to leave either, as my friend Maggie could tell you... my guess is it's one of those type of situations.

Well, we do live in our dorm's maximum security psychiatric wing :).

No, not my usual style...it was just next on the list. All the ladies at church who want me to be more girly will be so proud.
