Well I do think that consuming animals is acceptable, but the conditions in which most livestock and poultry are raised is appalling. It's one thing to eat a chicken that had a happy life, scratching around in a barnyard and eating whatever it wanted to, it's another to eat something that spent its entire life in a miserable little box, wallowing in its own shit.

And Palin? God, I'd wish for someone to shoot her, but that would make her a martyr and the Flying Spaghetti Monster help us all if that happens D: D:

Unfortunately, it's so, so hard to find a chicken who is even allowed to live a happy life, albeit if you raise your own chickens. They are a very small minority in a vast industry that has no consideration for the environment, animals, OR the people eating them - only the bottom line. But that's another topic altogether. ;) The reason I brought up that quote was because I just find it highly disrespectful. I have tons of meat eating friends, and I would never ostracize them - but they all have a very healthy respect of my choice, too.

Palin just needs to go live somewhere in the isolated boonies and shut the fuck up. Maybe some wolves would eat her. That would be awesomely ironic.
