life is a highway

Hello loves! Here's a picture post for ya. Went to Byron Bay this weekend, a great little town up on the Gold Coast (middle of the East coast of Australia basically). Also have pictures from around Sydney Theatre Company, on some sunny days. Enjoy!

So, Sydney Theatre Company's offices are located in The Rocks, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Sydney. Here's a little walking tour from the admin offices (in the deep end) to my bus stop, and a couple of the Harbour Bridge, just for good measure:

The view from the window of the foyer. Our building looks just like this one.

the amazing corridor i get to walk back and forth on multiple times a day. It's pretty much the entire length of the wharf, and easily some 300 metres long. The walls are covered in posters from previous shows, and big signs for the current season. Like so:

This show opens next week, and stars Robyn Nevin, the artistic director here.

Here's our beautiful Cate, in a poster for Hedda Gabler, which was in the 2005 season I believe.

Here's the front of the building. The lower level is home to the Sydney Dance Company, so that's to the right of the staircase. And we're up the staircase.

This is Pottinger Street. I like it because of the big wall, and I have no idea why the streets in this area are stacked like this, but I think its awesome. Anyways, I walk up Pottinger to the staircase you can see in the far distance. Go up the stairs, and get to see this:

Yup, that's the Harbour Bridge, right there. Gorgeous, eh?

Another set of stairs I walk up - my glutes better be in amazing shape when I leave here. At the top of the stairs is Lower Fort Rd (ironic, since it's the highest road, elevation wise, pretty much in the city).

And the view from my bus stop. That's the Harbourview Hotel on the corner.

Here are a couple I took of the bridge last week while walking to Circular Quay:

that's on the west side of the bridge

and the east side of the bridge.

Ok folks, that's all for now!
