Daddy's girl

Ooh, I am jealous!

Bird hunting is great; I can't wait to do some dove hunting when I go home in December. I would assume that by "20," your dad meant a 20-gauge shotgun- very appropriate for use on birds and small game. Be glad you haven't had to field dress big game; unlike a bird's brittle, hollow bones, theirs are solid and large and you need a saw to get through those. =O

Being able to shoot birds and other game from your backyard is the best! Again, envy. =)

It was a blast! But you're right, I'm glad it wasn't anything big that I had to take care. One time my dad was trying to get me to watch him quarter a moose he got a couple years ago, and all the blood didn't make my stomach feel so great, but I think it wouldn't be so bad now if I had to watch. I might not be ready to partake in the whole process yet though, but we'll see. I wish I had been introduced to all this much sooner, it's fun stuff.
