Oh course! One night while the four of us were feeling very hungry and tired we kept hearing things wrong. At one time we thought Kaitlin (next to my sister) called us "Grips" but she really said "Girls". Thinking back I don't know if all of us heard it that way, but no matter. My midnight we were able to locate food AND a place to sit down, so we made up a story of how our 'gang' formed and we gave each other names. They aren't exactly significant, we just said we'd keep the first thing that popped out of anyone's mouth and we were not allowed to name ourselves. Yep, that's about it, except as the days went by we'd make references to the gang and call each other by the names. It's dorky, I know, but it was fun.
LOL! That's awesome. I think I woke up my roommate laughing actually. Oops...
One of these days I'll go there again. Don't know where y'all are actually standing, but that bizarre structure in the near background looks like something I'll hafta check out - completely missed it the last time!
And just so there's no confusion, I did indeed visit and climb the structure in the extreme background. Not all the way to the top (1.5-hour wait for the elevator), just the stairs to the first observation deck.
We're standing in front of the Wall for Peace, which has only been there for about 6ish years. It's really neat, it has the word "peace" written in several languages.
It's been there 6 years, huh? That could explain why I never saw it - I was there just under 7 years ago. Some day I shall make a grand and glorious return, and then shall check out the Wall of Peace.
And when I return, all the French will exclaim, "Zut alors! Il a retourné! Dissimulez les enfants et les femmes!!"

Alright, now I think you're going to have to tell us the story behind these hyphonated names. You were planning to do that eventually, weren't you????
