1) I liked Farmers Market (in Los Angeles since 1934) a lot better before they built the upscale shopping mall, The Grove, next to it. Makes it harder to get a parking space, not to mention making me feel like a peon

I saw a lot of books by LJ authors there. Very cool. :>)

I bet your daughters would love that American Girl store. They have everything for the dolls, too--bunk beds, a treehouse, etc., etc.!

Thanks. It recovered pretty fast, so that must've been the "mild" relish. :>)

That was the biggest bookstore I've seen (it has two sets of escalators). I guess they didn't have much room to expand horizontally, so they did it vertically.
