Books + cupcakes + lisa_schroeder = a fun evening at Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena.

As if finally meeting Lisa (and new Facebook friend Alyson Beecher) last night wasn't enough, the owner of a local bakery, Polkatots (www.PolkatotsCupcakes.com), put up a white cupcake tier that looked a lot like the one on the cover of Lisa's MG novel, It's Raining Cupcakes. ( Read more... )

Yeah, the timing was unfortunate. Hopefully we'll run into each other eventually. :>)

Alyson Beecher (another writer) posted some good photos of the event on Facebook, at least.

Well, I don't post very often...I need to do better. :>)

It was really interesting to hear more about your writing process. I've met so many nice authors through LJ and Verla Kay's.

I was surprised to see lots more cupcakes at the family 4th of July picnic, both homemade and store-bought! Seems to be a recurring theme here.
