Breaking Dawn is...broken (SPOILERS)

Okay, look. I'm not a huge TWILIGHT fan. I didn't hate the first one; liked it enough to read NEW MOON. I wanted to shove Bella off a cliff myself by the end of that one, but after a pause I went ahead with ECLIPSE. That surprised me in that I liked it best, I think, enough to read BREAKING DAWN.

And it all fell apart like a wet paper sack.

I read the first book, couldn't bring myself to read any further, but the movies have been okay so far!

In this one case, I DO like the movies better than the books. I haven't seen ECLIPSE yet, though. I wait for DVD and I don't have that one- is it out yet? I don't actively look for them.

The movies HAVE been decent.

I have to say that I've read all the books in this series and I also like the movies better. Though Eclipse was and will always be my favorite out of the four books, I agree that Breaking Dawn was a huge letdown. You're very right in saying nothing happened. I'm not even sure I'm interested in seeing the movies for the book (why 2 btw? but that's another discussion) because the book was so bad. It was very disappointing. And it's very refreshing to see I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I liked ECLIPSE too. TWILIGHT an ECLIPSE were the two best, I think.

Well, you know what I thought about the Jacob and baby thing. It was very icky to me. The honeymoon scene was hilarious **seriously, the sex was that awesome, they broke everything in their path? And the ending was very anti-climatic.

Plus, why didn't Charlie her father get a clue she was a vampire or something seriously was wrong with her? And her mother? What about that?

I was very disappointed in this book. I still think Meyer is a good storyteller and I admit, I loved TWILIGHT. I guess I was just hoping for a better ending. But it's like the author said, you can't make everyone happy.

Except her characters, who were all perfect in the end:). She didn't even have to give up her human family -- another thing that annoyed me. There was no cost, no sacrifice. Blah.
