Okay, so I haven't actually drawn anything in years. But I was fair to middling when I did, though I cannot sit and draw, I need to LOOK at something when I do it. I'm more of a parrot-artist. Nowhere near in the league of, say, coppervale At all. Ever.

This attic...is clean
This is kind of long, but hang in there with me!
It took a week, and two trips in the pickup. But the attic has been sorted, the trash hauled away. I have fifteen bags of clothing (including three contractor-sized bags) to give to the clothing drive.
We still have a ton of stuff, but all belongs. And it's ORGANIZED, which is really great. I know ( Read more... ) -

How I get a writing loft
We live in a tiny house. It has charm, it's a good little house, but there is not a ton of space. And no closets, which is a whole other issue. But I always seem to find some nook of usable space in it. We have lots of shelves, because floor space is at a premium. But Boy is getting bigger, and his friends like to come over. The contest ended on Saturday, a day in which I spent many hours locked in mortal combat with our desktop, which has been unoperational since before Christmas. But since I found the software disks, I was able to restore everything and then spend hours digging up and killing the various viruses that had caused the problem in the first place. Not 'the' call, but not really all that disappointed
So, I called up the editor today. He's a nice guy, very easy to talk to. Talked for about half an hour.
It wasn't THE call. But it wasn't the worst thing that's ever happened to me either.
