Bon Appetit has named Portland the Foodiest Small Town in America."

Yum.

Tonight, at the Foodiest apartment at 107/109 Pleasant Ave, it's Duck a l'Orange, puree de Pommes de Terre a l'ail (with green onion too), and lemon sabayon tart with fresh wild maine blueberries.

I can't even believe this. A new law in Maine prohibits wine tastings to occur "where children might see them." I would say that if enforced to the letter, this effectively prohibits wine tastings across the board ( Read more... )

Last night just as I was about to go to bed, I heard sirens, which isn.t unusual for me as I live between two major streets, but this time I could hear the sirens winding down and stopping down towards Forest Ave. I looked out the window and noticed the sky had a very bright orange glow, and I could see smoke ( Read more... )
