So, after calling around to various shops both in the Portland area and in the NH Seacoast area, I finally found the guitar I wanted at a price I could live with.

I went with the Taylor GS5, in Mahogany (sides) and Cedar (top).

Ear Craft Music in Dover, NH had by far the best price. They're also the largest Taylor dealer in Northern New England ( Read more... )

I have been sorely tempted, for basically the past 5-6 months, to buy a new acoustic guitar. What's stopping me?

For starters, the ones I really want are *damn* expensive. And secondly, I've already got one. I just don't like it that much anymore.
