God damn is Final Fantasy VII overrated. I mean, Cloud is the poster child for bad anime cliche'. Oooh, spikey haired blonde with a big sword and a bad attitude. How utterly original. look at Sephiroth! He wears a trench coat, so he must be badass. Ugh. Luca Blight would rip his heart out and shit on the corpse (And I'm not exaggerating, that's the type of nutjob Suikoden II's main villain is).

I've never played Suikoden II, so how can I compare it? FF7 is my favorite of all that I've played, I really haven't played that many RPGs, and I'm not a big RPG fan. I just like the occaisional fun RPG, I don't fucking care HOW cliche it is, its still fun and interesting. This game brought lots of PS owners into the realm of RPGs because it brought in such a large and diverse crowd of players. So give it a break, it did some good for the RPG community.

I'm not totally sure and I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Jon is just bullshitting you. Although, I think Chad told me once that Jon didn't like it (Could have been another game).

Yeah, FF7 is the first RPG that got me to like RPGs...No RPG has encourage me to actually beat it though...argh. I think I stopped caring as much as soon as I left Midgar. I was happy with the cyberpunkyness of it all, and then it threw me into some lame medieval village. I still pick it up once in a while...I got like another 20 hours to go...

Also, great job with the theme..It looks good. Vincent is tottally the shit, execept I hate his limit break. First time I used it it got me killed. Then just the other day, I forgot what it did (I hadn't played in about a year), and it got me killed in yet another boss fight. Its wicked cool for not boss fights though.

its his least favorite final fantasy. which is great, since i bought it for him for christmas when i was like 12.

Barret rocks my socks...the chainsaw hand is the shit! I just discovered that Cid is pretty cool cause I just used him now (about a billion hours after getting him), and I'm also kind of fond of the turks now, even though Danevich ruined their end for me...asshole

The Turks are pretty cool I must admit. Reno is the best, he always has some cool gadget to use against you. Rufus is cool too, shotgun, white coat, and a bad attitude. My favorite 2 characters to use along with cloud are Red XIII and Vincent, cause they are both really different from the usual FF characters
