We saw THE HOBBIT yesterday. I enjoyed it, but find myself agreeing with several friends who called it indulgent. All that wasted time, money and energy on the stupid stone giants that could have been put into more character development. He needs less emphasis on spectacle and more on storytelling

I was so unhappy with LOTR, especially what they did with Frodo, I have decided to skip the Hobbit.
