The fire's under control. I mean, it's out, yes. It was just an accident with a first year, but Jasper and I got it sorted soon enough. I had a word with him afterwards (the first year, I mean, not Jasper--Stewie Finkle was his name) and I don't think he'll be testing out any more spells on the train.

More startled than anything, I think. And one of the seats was pretty badly damaged, but I told one of the porters. I think whoever his head of house is once he's sorted will speak to him about it, which means some house is probably going to start off in the negatives.

Well, I don't rush into compartments, so I couldn't really comment on that, and I didn't set anything on fire either. Also, as far as I'm aware, when people are promoted to honoured positions, congratulations are usually in order.
