Haha, the last time I posted something in my journal was last May and now it's already the end of year 2011!
How time flies....
So many things happened since I came to Singapore last October and a year has passed.
Meeting new housemates, new friends and a brand new community.
Let's start from the Shan-Courters(the name given to those live in this house because it's located in Shan Road, haha)
I live in an OLD apartment with surprisingly many rooms which could fit around 10 people inside the house.
My unit is on the 5th(the number of grace) floor. The ones who stayed the longest would be Jennisa and our big boss, Ronny. Then, followed by Mardian, our so-called-talented-model/actor in Shan Court XD and HQ, the Vietnamese. The rest of us, me, Jansen, Kiwanto, Winny(my cousin) and Clem are the new-comers.
The room I'm staying in is a shared-room so I have a room-mate. My first room-mate was Christine Yunita AKA CY. She is quite an air-head and was the target of bullying in the house XD The others just love to tease her and I found her quite amusing. She stayed for like half-a-year then she moved to another place. Then, one time there's this girl, Ronny's former classmate, came and was planning to stay until she found that the place is quite rundown and decided to move elsewhere. I have the room for myself for around 2 months then, Winny came. At first, Winny has stayed in the room for quite some time but then she moved downstairs with Aunty because Ronny's friend is coming but then, because the friend decided to move elsewhere, she went back to stay in my room again.
Now, many are graduating soon, and probably some of them are going to move elsewhere. Seriously, I felt sad and lonely whenever I think of them moving to another place but in the end, it's their decision to move and I respect it. ~sigh~
Next, my friends and my new community, TLG
When I came to Singapore, I never had any intention to join any Youth Community in a church. I just thought that as long as I go to church every Sunday it's fine. But it seems, God never intended that way. One Sunday, I went to a church service as usual. Then, somehow, I 'accidentally' met Mardian who was standing in a few lines before me. He waved to me then just say the polite 'hi' because we are still not that close at that time. Then it dawned to me that he is also a Christian, I was like 'woah, I thought I'm the only Christian in this house, it seems I was mistaken' haha
Then, at home, he asked me whether I'm a Christian and whether or not I have come to a youth service before. I said no then he invited me to the Youth service which he had joined which is of course, the YRC - youth revival celebration. The first time I came, I didn't expect much and the service is just so, so to me. I was included to one of the FAs (Family Altar, a smaller group within the youth community), which is called FA ANDA and also, it's the only FA with most members. But I never came to the meetings, haha. It was not until this year that I finally come to the meetings and was finally involved within the community. In FA Anda, I met a lot of people, much older, but their spirit is still like the younger ones XD A mother/sister figure, Ci Shella and Ci Oya, Ci Manda, who is loud, talkative, and have a great singing voice, Ci Natalia, Ci Enny, the funny twin sisters Ci Erna and Ci Erni, Ci Joan and also the younger ones like Kim, Ghon, Mykey, Ria, Cuil and GC. Actually, there are lot of members but I couldn't mention all of them here as it is a LOT, so to those that I didn't mention, please don't be angry, It's just that these are the people that I met the most in the FA (_ _)
A few months after I joined FA Anda, a sad thing occurred. Because of the large number of people in the FA, it has to be split into two, the older ones will stay as FA anda but the younger ones will be make into a new FA, named Sekia meaning small/young.
At first, there are only like 6 core members but now it has slowly grown into around 15 people. Not only the number of people are growing, our spiritual growth is also very imminent. With Ci Joan, she introduced us all to Grace which is actually Jesus Himself. If there is another time, I will post another post regarding Grace, which is very amazing beyond words.
There are many things that I wanted to post but maybe I'll post another one.
