There was a time when I was kind of sad I'd learned keyboards instead of guitar, because I only really knew piano, and although I loved the mathematical qualities of music (like Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier) I would hear people playing saxophones and guitars and putting so much soul into them. I just didn't think it was possible to get that sort of sound from a keyed instrument. I'd try, with accidentals and trying to play more off the beat, but a weighted piano key has nothing on an electric organ when it comes to soul. This is a perfect example of how that is possible! I love organ for this, and Cory does such an amazing job making it sing :)

Haha, yeah, this guy is a total inspiration. Cory Henry animates the Hammond in some extradimensional way, and for all its potential, it's not such an easy instrument to bring to such dynamic life, so smoothly, so sweetly, so soulfully. Just a delight, I'm stoked that you hear it, too, and the happy affirmation of a new generation of masterful players appearing and getting busy.

What do we call it? Impressionism? Just a bit early today, I posted what I think might be an example of a close piano equivalent (see the Albéniz youtube post today).
