I've done this before. I am getting a little bit more free time now so I need to do something that doesn't involve server side java coding and 14 hour days.

I've been meaning to get in touch with you anyways -- I wasn't able to recover the holehead site from sfindie.com but I *did* grab it off of www.archive.org -- for some reason, the database I was using got deleted and all the data went bye bye. I'll make a zip file of this over the next few days so you can have your new web person put it up on your server.

If it's the motor and the logic board, yes. If it's a dish head crash, that's something only professionals can do.

I could tell you what I do but it would only terrify you.

You running windows or mac? Also how is your external drive formated?

For getting stuff off your ipod using a mac, use Senuti. Matter of fact it's a good idea to just toss this app on your a folder of you ipod as it can be run from there and allow you to download your stuff on any mac.

For a PC based ipod, I'd look into Sharepod. The site ipodsoft also has a list of options for getting music off of you ipod
