Anyone going to Comic-Con?

Anyone planning on going to Comic-Con this summer?  I am suddenly interested now that everything is sold out, of course (well, Friday and Saturday).  How is easy is it to get tickets on the secondary market?

It is probably prohibitively expensive and I doubt I will be going.  If you are going would you be willing to do me a big favor?

I totally agree.

I think next year will have to be the year. I'll start paying attention to when tickets go on sale, etc., and keep you posted.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to go at all this year. If I do it will most likely be a last minute thing like last year was (it was easy to get tickets then, but I was just wanting Sunday, so...).

I will be there, hopefully! And it depends on the favor!

Last year I ended up with two passes due to an odd series of events, and sold the extra on CraigsList at a discounted price the first day of the con. HOWEVER I had approximately ten zillion texts and calls from people, that continued for hours after the listing had come down, which should show how in demand the things are.

So it's possible! But it is kind of crazy. Better to find a friend who has one but suddenly can't go.

And I saw totally WANT!

If I were to send you money ahead of time, enough to hopefully cover the DVD, shipping, and a acquirer's fee, would you see if you could get one for me?

Aaron and I are going for our second year in a row. We go without the kids and it's a fun time for all! If I end up on the HP panel again we'll have our two current tickets for sale, so let me know if you end up interested.....

What specific questions do you have, btw?

Mainly I was interested in how easy it was to get tickets, but since it looks like "not to" and since it is so expensive to get there, I don't think it is going to happen this year.

However, if you do have those available, please let us know! It would require crazy juggling, but would be totally awesome!

Also, I think we are seriously looking at next year, so keep me posted when tickets go on sale, etc. Thanks!

We are definitely not going next year - it's only a week or two after Infinitus - which we are bringing the whole family to - so unless there's something massive in 2010, we're going to sit that year out.

But I will keep you posted on my ticket availability for this year...
