In the Silence

I have finally written a new poem. I have struggled a great deal with doing anything creative for a while now, and am honestly unsure of how good this is as I feel so rusty when it comes to creative writing. But here it is.

In the Silence

She hides from day
And lives the night,
Her paws betray
Her padded steps.

She slinks through gardens,
Alleys,

Wow, this is beautiful. I relate to it so much. My sanctuary is outside in nature, in the gardens, amongst flowers and dirt and the moon, where health problems aren't dominating my mind. It's unfortunate that we have to return to reality.

I've always felt at my most peaceful in nature, esp if I'm in a beautiful natural environment on my own. It is wonderful to have moments of peace like that. When they end and you go back to how your life usually is, it is such a loss. I wish I could maintain that feeling of peace in everyday life, but it's hard.
