thanks for the well wishes!

the specialist wanted to wait until monday so that the swelling has time to go down.
new wheels arrived on thursday and i put them on tonight -- they are much smaller and roll much slower, i'd be ok if i had them wednesday...

"while skateboarding w/ my son last night i fell at a high rate of speed. i had a helmet on and luckily my vision + hearing returned to normal in a few minutes. I missed National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org/) this year.
The current plan is to write a 50,000 word novel in Jan or Feb 2008.
