Zaku went out the gate he had come into, still crying his eyes out and feeling terrible about choosing his parents over Karin. Could I really have stayed here...? No... I couldn't have...

The streetlights were still on as Zaku moved as quickly as he could down the street, almost at a slow jog from the adrenaline, despite his pain in his hip and ribs. The dark sky above was turning more and more pink with the rising sun and was slowly shifting to the light blue of daylight. He had no idea what the time was when his hip finally gave out on him and he fell to the concrete sidewalk hard. Eyes closed and face waterlogged from the tears, Zaku didn't want to get up. He was out in the open... surely someone would find him...

Zaku made a fist with his hand and pounded the concrete hard, with everything he had, making a loud yell when he did so. His hand suddenly pained him, but he didn't care. I'm so pathetic...! Not long after, the sound of a vehicle came up from behind him. "Zaku!?!" It was Tomoko...

B-but... I don't want to...Tomoko opened the car door before Ryuu could even stop it and leapt out to run to Zaku's side. "Zaku!!! Zaku!!! What in the world did you run away for??? I told you not to run away anymore...!!" Tomoko started to cry, seeing his beat up form and bloody wrist. "What happened to your wrist??? Oh my god, Zaku, I don't want to lose you again ( ... )
