Following on from an interesting discussion last night. Human evolution has been rendered almost redundant by technological and sociological development allowing us to far exceed the capabilities of the most beautifully evolved other species on earth by artificial augumentation. But if it were possible, what things that other species have developed

Oh the obvious one would be flying (although clearly the wings would be massive) and electrocuting people I don't like like the eels thingies. I wouldn't mind being able to change colour too, that way one could be fashionable without spending money.

Heat sensitivity to detect vital signs, the ability to control body temperature.

Better senses all round really- apart from sight human sensory capability seems very substandard, and even then it's not as good as it could be.

The ability to switch off half your brain at a time and thus not sleep as dolphins are alleged to do might prove useful for those of the investment banking fraternity.

The ability to know when there are too many of us and run off a cliff or something (cf pop culture lemmings).

Prehensile tails. Given the amount we use our hands a third limb would be very useful.

(telekenesis, laser eyes, instant regeneration, weather control, telepathy, personal controllable magnetic field and ability to fling fire about removed)

Clearly not. There are a large number of furfags out there who not only come up with this "I want fur/a tail/cat ears/a bifurcated wang" BUT THEN DRESS UP AS THE OBJECT OF THESE DESIRES.

You can fail at life, but NOT AS HARD AS A FURRY.

I'd have feathers. And wings, if possible, but feathers would do. So practical at keeping heat in/out, so beautiful, so waterproof. I'd have to spend a lot of time preening, but hey, I'd never have to do any laundry.
