Hey Kimmy - I know the H in Amherst in silent, I know who invented basketball but have never been to the Hall of Fame, I eat bagels from Dunkin' Donuts...and there are loads of CVS's around here too, and as a linguist, I have to tell you that unfortunately, Western Mass peeps do talk with an accent (not just with regards to the "Boston accent"), since Standard American English is defined as the dialect spoken in Central Pennsylvania. ;) But you're right - the Holyoke Mall is awesome.
