One of my roommates has a collection of Jordans and other sneakers, the other one has a collection of Hollister flip flops (mmm... yeah he also never misses and episode of American Idol, you be the judge).
Packed closet, and many more not pictured.
This is the little collection that I've amassed in the past year.
1. NikeSB Team Editions - the pair that got me introduced to the expensive hobby. White suede and maroon? I like
2. Clarks Wallabees - recent addition. scored these in San Fran for a good deal. More suede and comfy as slippers
3. Nike SB Dunk High "Bloody Sundays" - my club sneakers. Black leather, patent, and that's right, red velvet.
4. PRod2 - Black Suede, gold, and lined with pillows. Also very comfy.
the_guibo gave me these and I hate him for introducing me to the "shoe game."
5. NikeSB Dunk High "MF Dooms" - first pair that I camped out for. Lots of cool details like lace locks, 3M, and a clear sole. This is when I gave into the hype and saw the ridiculousness of the culture.
6. Nike AirMax 360s "Air U Breathe" - Needed a running shoe, and thought the custom art was cool.
also others not pictured
Anyways the point is that I've been reflecting upon what I've been spending my time and money on lately and realized that certain things need to be eliminated. This shoe thing that I got sucked into is just frivolous and the culture utterly ridiculous. The prices for "streetwear" and urban style are extremely inflated due to internet hype and mindless fanboys. In the end, they're all clones of each other anyways. So, I'm out of this dealie, except for some Bathing Apes coming soon.
Had some trouble with my servers, so more interesting posts coming soon.
