This year has been about improvement for me and I've continually been coming up with ways in which to fix my life leaks. This one came to mind as I was yelling at a friend last night who came to me for life crisis advice. It's hard to imagine that I'm friends with people worse off than myself; it's also kind of funny that anyone would come to me for life coaching. I found myself being hypocritical about some of the things I was preaching about and realized that I'm a better life coach than I am IRL.
Life coaching session 1
1. Regulate sleep habits by being in bed by 2am during the week. Set a recurring alarm on your phone at 1:45am as a warning, and hopefully this will act as a mental trigger to induce sleep. Double dose the melatonin if necessary. Waking at 8am allows for 4 full REM cycles.
2. Start a poker notebook for taking notes during play and reviewing sessions after play. Take note of questionable hands for later review, review big pots lost, take notes during reading and training videos. Review notes briefly before sessions and focus on problematic concepts.
3. Reduce distractions during important tasks. ie. TV/videos/AIM/phone off during poker sessions.
4. 100 situp/crunches, 50 perfect pushups per day. Increase each by 10% biweekly.
5. Also, figure out how to fit a real gym workout into regular schedule by the end of October.
6. Keep track of ongoing bets.*
7. MWF - go to ericks at noon and do 20 flare attempts.
*I bet Duri that he couldn't lose 40 lbs in 4 months. Started Aug 17, Ends Dec 17. Starting weight 207 lbs? ending weight required 167 lbs. $100 to my $200
I bet Bui that I could do more flares on Thanksgiving day of 2008 than he upon one attempt. $100 to my $100
