The cherry trees are in bloom here and this year they are splendid. Maybe I just didn't notice them as much before but I can't remember them being so beautiful

Springtime is making me a happy geek, though we don't have any fruit trees around here to enjoy as you do. (And the leaves on trees aren't quite budding yet. It was not even a week ago that we still had snow and ice around. It's slower up north)

Hey, being in awe of the great things in the world is a good way to feel. Don't apologize. :D (Your awe is much more poignant than mine at least. Not so far back I was squeeing about being able to see waterbugs and baby fish. And today, I squee about getting my hands all dirty.)

When I was little, I took an afterschool Spanish class, but didn't think I'd ever use the language. Everyone in the world speaks my language and looks like me, after all, don't they? I think back on that now and just shake my head.

If you'd told me, when I was in high school, that some day I'd find awesome people who would be better friends to me than anyone in my hometown ever was, and that I'd find those friends through gay porn, of all things, I'd have called you a looney. Just goes to show how little I knew. ^_~
