Happy summer darling!
AND YES! "Everything Is Illuminated" is a damn good book. I totally have the page dogeared where the line "Love me, for love doesn't exist and I've tried everything else that does" appears. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that quote.
AND COMIC-CON. Totally wanna go with you! Totally, totally.

You should totally read "Rebecca" by Daphne DuMaurier and "Lords of Discipline" by Pat Conroy. They're nice summer reading

tis not something that i would normally love so much, but it's beautifully written. it's beyond gorgeous.
based on the Biblical story of Jacob and Esau. only in Scotland. Mrs. Higgs actually went to Scotland for research so every single rock/hill/fact in the book including the names is completely factual. its utterly amazing the work she put into it.
2. Once Removed by Mako Yoshikawa
Very well-written. It's currently what i'm reading.
The Amazon Synopsis
3a. Sabriel by Garth Nix
tis a "teen" book, but it was my favorite book for the longest time, and still ranks pretty high. Tis about a girl who's father is a necromancer and she has to find him and take over his place. The reason i enjoyed it so much though is the extensive detail that is put into weaving a new land. and another "child"/"teen" book...
3b. East by Edith Pattou
tis based on folklore with a lot of old superstitions (which i love to read about). it's a combination of dozens of old fairytales. it's lovely. A girl ( ... )
