About love

Love imprisons, much like desire, it binds. It is the opposite of freedom and of truth. Love is not the height of virtue.. it can be far removed from it, at times. Love can result from an accurate observation. Only then I can accept it. Conditionally yours.

There are many types of love.. I think the love of which you speak is 'Eros' and is one of the most fickle and rudimentary forms of love... as evidenced by my debacles..;).

No, that's not true, and that's precisely the problem. I mean, yes, there are many types of love, but the one we perceive as the most subtle of all is still a very messed up mirage. This is a shift in perspective that doesn't come easily, and unlike what it might seem, it doesn't make one a dried-out husk of a being. :) I just choose to admire what is worthy of admiration, and that is the only approach to love that I will follow. No attachments, no unfulfilled projections, no possessiveness, no unrealistic expectations. Just the observation of truth and devotion to virtue.
