Went to a Detholtz!show with Rachel. They were pretty great. There was this other band called "Shitty, Shitty Music with too Many People on Stage and Some Girl Dressed Like a Pirate, Who Was Not a Talented Vocalist." Actually, I'm not sure if that was there name exactly, but if not, it should have been. Anyway, while they were playing Rachel and I ventured to the photo booth for some portraity goodness. The splendid resulting images are here.

Last week a thrift store excursion yielded a talking heads tape and some sultry duds. Filled with thrifty store glee, Rachel, a friend of Rachel's, and I took the boom box into the streets and threw a late-night, "Burning Down the House," dance extravaganza. Here's a picture of the festivities on Rachel's myspace.

I may have to look for another job if they don't start giving me more shifts soon. Speaking of the B&BW though, Limited Brands (owners of B&BW, Victoria's Secret, Express, Express Men, The Limited, etc.) opened a few of these new stores called C.O. Bigelow. Right now they are only in New York, Chicago and Boston. It's pretty much like B&BW but much more high end. I worked a few shifts there last week helping them set up their store for the grand opening. They have $100 shaving brushes, $250 lotion. They have Prada cosmetics. It's ridiculous, well disgusting actually to think that people spend that much money on "beauty aids." I went to the grand opening (so that I could get the free gifts haha) and it was crazy. They had all these "important" beauty industry people there and they had a guy walking around w/ a tray of drinks. It all sort of made me nervous actually.
In family news: Much strife. Everyone is crazy. Seriously crazy there is much anger and bitterness and nastiness between family members at the moment, enough so that I've had several bad dreams about the whole situation. Also, My mom had surgery and my great grandma broke a hip. Poor, lonely Jack has no job just has to hang out w/ the crazies.
If anyone cares, Amanda is completely miserable in Dallas. She hates her job. She's frustrated with her boyfriend. And for once I can't say her misery is completley overblown. Her life at the moment seriously does suck and her boyfriend is seriously being lame.
It's cold here.
There are some real crazy people who take public transportation, I mean reeeal crazy.
Lavender and Acacia bubble baths are a good thing.
White Sox won. Apparently that's pretty damn important.
