my so-called life

so yeah, i'm alive and stuff. read the cut if you care to, but if you don't (which is understandable), just be satisfied with the knowledge that

grease

so grease is over. i went home wednesday, thursday, and friday nights to see it. that was cool. the coming back to get up early wasn't as cool though. but it was worth it. i'm immensely proud of taryn =D i wish i could have gone closing night (especially since i heard that it was the best night) but i couldn't due to cats. oh wellz. a huge congratulations to everyone who was in it! everyone did a fantastic job!
also, a big thank you and a big hug to all of the su crew who came to see the show. taryn was "tickled" as mom put it. and it's true, she was. she was way nervous since y'all (yes, wong, "y'all") were coming, but she was so glad to have you there. i think that it really meant a lot to her. so thanks again for coming - since it meant a lot to her, it meant a lot to me too. you guys are great =D

sports

so how about su basketball being amazing?! i didn't get to actually see a majority of the games. on thursday, when they went into overtime, my guitar lesson had just started. so dr. meyer, being the cool guy that he is, turned on the radio and we tried to have a real lesson, but the game was too much of a distraction. it was way fun hearing the kids in the hallways yelling. i heard that the crowd who watched it over at eggers was pretty crazy. i wish i'd been there with them, but i was glad that i was able to at least listen to them win : ) and then friday (when everyone was in clinton watching the show) i called my grandparents at intermission (my mom's dad is a big fan of college football and basketball) and at the end of the game to find out the scores. and then saturday after cats we all rushed back to the sadler lounge and watched the second half of the game, which was quite intense. as a resident of the greater utica area, i'm proud that josh wright was the one who sealed the game with his 4 free-throws. but as a central new yorker, i'm just stoked for the team. thursday at 9:30pm, wild tigers couldn't keep me away from watching that game (and maybe seeing sitrus on tv!...come on, i can dream).
and clinton hockey!! yeah, state champs two years in a row! same as su basketball! the same thing happened last year. the basketball team won, then the hockey team won. and though i wasn't here to see it this year (cats), i heard that the fire sirens went off for like, 15 minutes straight, and alterris was packed until whenever they decided to close that night/sunday morning. it's great to see the town go nuts like this especially since it's hockey. i could never get psyched up about the football team even when they did win a game (which was rare, so by rights it should've been more exciting). i heard that the game wasn't as exciting as least year (since it was a 4-1 game and 3 of our 4 goals came in the first period...i think) but still. i'm way happy for those kids. i love coming from a hockey town.

cats

so cats is over. i'm roughly one quarter sad and three quarters stoked. i dunno. i guess i'm still conflicted about it. not like it matters since it's over, but there are still a few lingering issues that i have with the production. in some ways it was the most professional show i've done and i was thoroughly impressed (not that i've done much to begin with, i'm just sayin') and in other ways it was hands down the least rewarding show i've ever worked on. it's not that i'm not happy to have done it. it's definitely a great thing to add to a resume - a great opportunity. and i was really glad to play the show with my friends as well as meet cool people like paula, patrick, tim, nathan, mr. verity, and emmit. but still...i dunno. a lot of things really upset me to the point where i'm still thinking about them. bah. well, i guess there was really no point to this paragraph. :gets over it:

the point is, cats is over.
:jazz hands:

break

so now i'm home on break. i need to do a whole bunch of things. among them:
-see friends!!!
-look for a summer job (suggestions?)
-decide what classes i'm taking at mvcc
-go into school to see miss hibbard
-get my bike fixed
-do schoolwork (boo!)

but for now, i'm off to sleep. for those of you to whom this applies, i hope to see you over break!

and this applies to everyone: be well, kids.
