k... i have to post here in my own LJ cuz it jus... got to me so much when i read it... it astounds me that people can be like horses in a race with blinders on... not even aware of the world around them, only aware of what they see and what they think. and they're always wrong. what am i talkin about you ask? an entry in richie's LJ about heath

I personally understand your argument perfectly. Since I've been talking to you about it....I'll try to say some different things in here though. Of course, it's hard to have a discussion about it if everyone agrees with you Paul....we'll see though. Blinders are a problem with people these days. They don't scratch the surface and see what's really there, they just accept face value and jump to a conclusion. I just wish they would do their research or simply use their brains before judging. I'm taking so long to type this b/c I'm a bit busy...go figure, I'm busy for once. I also feel it is important to not bash other human beings for their beliefs or behaviors. I'm not going to hate a Buddist just because he/she is a buddist and I'm not. So why should I hate a gay person just because it's different than that ever pre-conceived notion of 'normal

I can agree that the bigotry in the original poster's um, post, was overboard. And i can also agree with the fact that the actor guy can do whatever he wants, free will and all that. however, i don't really support him for doing it, being gay is sin, just like looking at pornography or shooting someone in the face or lying to your mother is a sin. Do we persecute people for lying to their mother? I think not, however we don't (always) encourage it. For me gay people aren't like, another species that is unclean or something trashy like that, that's not the way it should be. But i'm not going to tell them it's ok to be gay, just like if you walked up to me and told me you go home every day, get online, and look at naked chicks all day, i'm not going to say "oh yeah man! right on!" I think the problem with gay people is that their sin is so out there, it affects their entire lifestyle; which makes it really obvious when they aren't in the closet so to speak. So it's sort of like somebody murdering someone, if you know about it,
