Dragons and Murtlaps and Weres, oh my!

Can I just say how happy I am about JKR writing a film based on Fantastic Beasts? Not just because of the subject matter - I wasn't quite daring to hope that JKR would write more in the HP universe, let alone that it would a) focus on adults (Newt Scamander would be early 20s in 1920?) and b) expand the world in a direction than fanon generally ( Read more... )

Oh I am so excited for all the things!

I can't sign up for more fest. My fingers, they're done xD 5 fests, roughly, before christmas. WHAT HAVE I DONE?

We should gather to go watch that movie together! Like, another fannish meet up :P

Oh, most definitely. Though that'll start to encroach on '19 years later' territory.

5 fests, wow. I just can't write that fast! :)

AW COME ON! 19 years later?! D: I was hoping she'd agree with fandom and start ignoring the epilogue xD

5 fests, yes. And I can't either. I'm writing every single free minute of every single free day. I'm horrified xD

I think the idea was that we'd all show up at Kings Cross station on 1st Sepember 2017 and say 'See? They're not here so it never really happened!'

I'm going on the studio tour Oct. 6th. I'm staying at the holiday Inn at watford Junction on the 5th. If you want to join me, your welcome to. Send me a message via LJ, and we can discuss further.

Thank-you - but that day isn't feasible for me, even if this weren't already an expensive travel month. I'm working on the 4th and the 6th, and I don't live locally enough for it to be an easy day trip.

I'll look forward to hearing what you make of it though!

I'm hoping that certain older actors who didn't get into the original films might have a look-in here.

Mmmm, Colin Firth, please! Also Rupert Everett, Hugh Grant, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Sean Connery, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Rowan Atkinson (Slytherin!), Michael Caine, Anthony Hopkins...good thing they're planning to make it a series :)

Rowan Atkinson - oh, yes. Maybe as the British Ambassador...
I'm hoping for Michael Sheen. And Colin Firth would indeed be lovely.

They're planning to make it a series? Is that confirmed?

Might be useful to make a new post on holidaygen to mention the revised date? :)
