Yay Duncan! I always wondered what happened in the trip to Ostagar--all of the trips must have been long, so I'm happy that you included this little snippet. May we see more of Duncan in the next chapter before his untimely end?

I always wondered that too. I wish the game gave at least a little bit of a timeline, or at least one that made sense. Two days forced march to get from Redcliffe to Denerim? Not likely.

The next chapter will have more Duncan in, yes. :)

I really enjoyed this a lot. I'm a sucker for Surana fic as well as behind the the scenes fic, so this was definitely a double treat.

I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to have Duncan in the party, at least for a little bit... Even if he was much higher level, it would've been nice to have a few campfire chats with him before the end.

The Mage origin has drawn me in more than any of the others. I just find the relationship between the mage and Alistair so incredibly romantic. I had to dedicate my first DA:O fic to them.

I'm going to cheat and make my own campfire chat scene for the next chapter. More Duncan was definitely needed in the game.

Thank you! I'll hopefully have the next chapter up by Christmas. With the hubby home for the holidays (and so far behind all my characters it's pathetic) I'm officially cut off from the game now, and should have plenty of time to write! :)
