Jean Bentley does a really good EW blog on the use of the word "disgusting" when talking about fat people.

Yeah, I always just skip the comments on fat-positive posts in public media. There's always some jerk trying to get a rise out of people.

I find it both ironic and disturbing that the ad box between the article and the comments contains two links: "1 Rule of a Flat Stomach" and "Lose Your Belly: 1 Rule."
