Find someone who will love you for who you are. I am also trying to lose weight, but it is in conjunction with my partner because we want to be healthier for each other and ourselves, not because someone said they would break it off with us unless we did.

My partner and I are both trying to lose weight. If he said anything like this to me I would immediately drop 250 lbs.: HIM.
Any guy who says "you'd be perfect if only you were different" is not a man I would recommend marrying.

That is not okay ever.
Think about if this situation was reversed. Would you say those sort of things to him? If not, why not? Now, why doesn't he apply those reason to himself.
I know there's not really a lot I can say here. But if that's you in your icon, I think you are a hottie exactly as you are and you deserve someone who loves you and wants to be with you no matter what, not someone who will only be with you if you conform.
