- Advertising and Retail Forum, Zuzana told me she’s leaving. Everyone’s leaving.
- Ateh decided that he will be teaching Finance in UNVA, Its not a lot of money, I think he’s even thinking of it more as community immersion or something. I wish I can have something like that.
- Met with Vince to give him our grocery list for when he’s coming back to the Philippines, it ranges from bottled tuyo to cheez whiz to garlic spam and red palm corned beef. Hindi kaya siya magtagal sa Customs? We had munggo that night.
- Had my haircut at Tribo and lighter highlights. I still cannot decide if it has become too short.
- I watched the Devil Wears Prada with Ateh, that was after tocino. We’re a bit late with the movie I know, but I really wanted to finish the book first. I liked the movie version more, the book completely trashed the fashion industry and it sounded more like a never ending whine session without any celebratory turning points. She never fought back until the last day when she unglamorously slapped her boss in the face with a heart melting ‘fuck you, Miranda, fuck you’. At least Miranda in the movie, had a human face and they both understood each other in the end. I mean Miranda’s bitch fits are still second to none and I would never work for a sadist like her, but still the book’s amusing side accomplished by Andrea Sach’s griping grew old seven chapters into it. The first person point of view grew too first person and failed to expound any of the other characters. By the eighth chapter, I heard myself saying ‘Oo na api ka na, naintindihan ko na, e ano na ngayon?’ But, no, until that final fuck you, she dragged me through her misery. I have to say Ms. Princess Diaries was great in the movie, not as remarkable as Meryl Streep but I think she really grew up. And Emily was my favorite.
- My flight to Cranfield was at half past six on Sunday, I arrived at twelve in Cranfield, exhausted. We took a cab which cost us 200 pounds sterling and I was thinking if we should have just braved the London Underground and the numerous transfers to save company money. But I didn't want to go through London. The next day when I heard that one girl had to travel the whole day to finally arrive in Cranfield, I realized I would have paid the cab driver 250 and would have given him a free foot massage for being our champion.
- The university is in the middle of nowhere so nothing mind blowing really happened. It kind of forces people to work, just work.
- I was waking up at half past five in the morning all week to swim and visit the sauna and then have breakfast at seven. If only I had this discipline at home, I’ll shed my extra two kilo burden in only a couple of weeks.
- There was this woman from Istanbul, Ebru, with whom I just clicked automatically. I actually miss her now. We were together most of the time during the program. Babuy and I are visiting her next August for the Formula 1 race. I have to see her again. Hindi ako tibo sentimental lang.
- I slept and hung out with Babuy the whole day of Saturday but went to see Ateh and had embutido and sinigang with her in the evening. We both went to mass the next day, I went back home and continued sleeping and finishing the third season of the 4400. I did. Now I’m a bit depressed knowing that I need to wait for 200 days before I can see another episode. It has reached Lost’s status, we have to download it per episode from hereon. =(
- Ateh is leaving on Saturday to the States for Thanksgiving, we’re going to Pandorf to shop for some things on Friday which is a public holiday here. We’re both thinking about finally taking advantage of the sale season in Milan next year, kailangang magtipid. Even if I just want to visit Italy again, if my stingy self finds something nice, malay natin.
My little sister told me about a heartache. Para kong nililiyaban habang kausap ko siya. Kaya ko talagang manakit pag may nakakaagrabyado sa kanila. =(
