Let me begin with this.... it is human nature to be there for ones self first and foremost, because you learn as you get older that if people are consistent with anything it is to always let us down. Now I don't mean that in a cynical way by any means, but we just can't fix everything so from time to time we let the ones we care about down. Like I was telling you when you were here, sometimes being alone is the best, it teaches you strength, and independence.

As for why you are here? Well why did I survive and my brother didn't? I haven't done anything wonderful, and I know I could be alot happier, but hell I love my family, I love my friends, and they love me. What more do I really want? If you ever feel alone or like you don't matter think about your friend KT. She loves you tons does she not? She would be devastated without. Now I use her as an example cause she is who you talk about the most. All the good times and crazy shit ya'll do. It means something.
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world ( ... )

I care.

Remember that depression filters your perception. It allows nothing positive in, at least, nothing positive about -you-, while it grossly magnifies every little negative, and never lets it go.

Know that the feelings of worhlessness and inadequacy aren't rational, aren't justified, are a manefestation of a condition that is not your fault.

Realizing this, reminding yourself of it won't make all the pain go away, but it helps. It helps a lot more than pot or coke or any other drug can.

Know that I care about you. That a lot of people care about you, appreciate you, that you make others happy, that when they think about you, they smile.

You deserve happiness. Unfortunately, happiness doesn't come easy for some of us, and we must fight for it. But what is there more worth fighting for?
