holy shite, wasn't Kill Bill 2 insane? I watched it tonight too, at just about the same time you were watching it...at one point my roommate, Mike, and I were screaming at the top of our lungs. it had something to do with an eyeball. ew!
Hi, hope you don't mind me replying to your journal post. Bit bored at work today so looking for a distraction. I'm Pete, Janice (nabinea)'s boyfriend. I just clicked on your journal as you'd replied to her latest entry, for a quick read. Some interesting stuff (unlike mine..).
So you're a math man? What field is it your work in now, and what is it you want to move into? My degree is in mathematics, which I did at the University of Nottingham (UK). My job now is quite math related, I work mainly on military aircraft escape systems - design, testing, computer modelling of, etc.
Really I'm replying to ask what dodgeball is, I think that's what sport you said you do? I don't think it's a sport we have here in England. And what is it about this sport that keeps making you injure your quads?
Yeah my job can be really good fun, especially when we get out doing trials work, testing ejection seats and parachutes, that sort of thing. But sometimes, like all work, it can be dull.
Dodgeball sounds like fun. Kickball does sound like the most painful thing you can do with an injured quad! If you want to strengthen your quads I'd recommend some training on the concept2 rowing machine. But then I would say that, as that's my sport. A sport with something for everyone - a hard core physical activity, and a chance to be a complete geek as we have internet races too where you connect your machine up to your PC and race people around the world in the comfort of your own home. Weird.
