Challenge at fringeland
Walter looked in shock and September stood in front of him. He swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat after the message his bald friend had come to give him. “Who are they?”
September’s head moved from one side to the other and without blinking he stated: “The other Observers like me.”
Walter looked at him confused. “There are others like you?”
“Yes, many.” September slowly walked around the table to where Walter was.
Walter jumped slightly. “Why would they want to come here?” He asked
“They are coming to destroy you. All of you.” September watched Walter’s reaction. “I can help you stop them, but it won’t be easy and if they catch us, they will kill both of us.”
“Why come here?”
“The boy and the girl. The two of them are powerful together. The others didn’t want them together. The boy should have died, he should have been erased, but their love for each other brought him back. This is payment.” September offered some kind of explanation.
Walter looked at him more confused than ever. “The boy and girl?” He thought for a couple seconds and then it clicked, the boy was Peter so that meant the girl had to be Olivia. He then nodded his head and looked September in the eyes. “What do we need to do.”
“First you must tell the others. Then I will return to help you with the rest.” September turned and headed to the door. “Be careful until then.”
