If you can't see the difference, I'm not sure words will help.

Are you saying that calling black women "nappy-headed hoes" should not have been a firing offense, or calling white people "nazis" and "stepford wives" should also have been?

And how about calling people who don't agree with you politically "socialist" or any of the other epithets that the Right is so fond of?

And while we're on the topic, how about journalists and commentators who continuously lie for ratings?

Educate me, Dave. What's the difference. Because I just don't see it.

In either case, it's a derogatory set of insults directed at a specific, identifiable ethnic group. Either it's wrong, period, or it's right, period.

But, to give you a hint, I think Don Imus is an idiot.:)

Not sure I want to mess with the political spectrum as a protected group. Though, if you _do_ want to open that can of worms... fascists, nazis, oligarchs, corporate tools... it doesn't go to good places.

If you want to get into the "journalists & commentators" thing, you're going to have to expand your vision beyond Fox News. CBS should be squarely in your sights, too, and then we can look at HuffPo, MSNBC, The Disney Network, CNN. And we haven't even started on print media. ;)
