Update on Mom

They're doing the surgery in-office. Said it takes a couple hours. Said she didn't quite get all that they said, but understood that they'll be testing the inside of her lip as they pull things to make sure they got it all, then have to do something like sew half her top lip to the bottom. Shes not sure if they mean each part together, or if taking

I'm sorry that you and your family are going through this again (in regards to cancer being a threat).

Thank you. I am hoping after this bout of radiation, things can go back to normal for her.

Ames, this must be terrifying. I'm sorry that you're going through this, and that's all I can think of to say.

Thank you. Her lip has healed up nicely, but we can rarely get her to go out since her lip is misshapen, now (they took part of her top lip to add to the amount they removed, so her mouth doesn't look natural).
She's starting radiation in a couple of days, again.

I understand not wanting to go out. It must be so hard for her. Thinking good thoughts for radiation and etc to be successful and maybe some reconstructive surgery for her future after she kicks this cancer.
